Shut down

The hosted Remotion MCP server was shut down on October 26, 2026 and is no longer available.

Install Remotion Agent Skills and use /remotion-docs instead.

Why was the MCP shut down?

• Its data could be less current than the Remotion documentation.
• Remotion paid the token costs for MCP requests.
• Installing MCP servers was difficult, and agents did not invoke them reliably.
• It duplicated the /remotion-docs skill.

Migrate to /remotion-docs

Remove remotion-documentation from the MCP configuration in your editor.

Install the Remotion Agent Skills from your Remotion project:

npx remotion skills add

Ask your coding agent to use /remotion-docs when it needs current Remotion documentation.

Restart the coding agent if it does not detect the newly installed skills.
